Beyond Sight: Cultivating Clairvoyance For Personal Growth
What is Imagination?
I was very fortunate to grow up with a cousin that was only four and half months older than me, yet it felt at times like she was much older. We were very close when we were young and spent a lot of time playing together at my grandparent’s home.
My grandfather realized one day that Laura had taught herself to read as she sat on the floor reading out loud from the back of his New York Times. I believe she was three at the time. She helped to spark a love of reading in me as well as a bit of healthy competition. I wanted to, at the very least, keep up with her.
My grandmother would pack us a picnic lunch and we would set off with our books to some distant part of their yard to sit on a blanket and read for hours. That time was so magical to me. The sound of water rushing over rocks in the stream that flowed down a hill from the pond in front of my grandparent’s house. The refreshing taste of icy cold stream water as I drank it from my cupped hands. The feel of the sun on my skin and the breeze blowing through my hair. Watching butterflies land on colorful flowers and the smell of the herbs in the garden.
As I lost myself in one book after another growing up, I was transported to far off exotic places all over the world. Places I dreamt of traveling to someday. I wanted to learn for myself if they were even more wonderful than the sights that I saw in my imagination.
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”
― Albert Einstein
I struggled in the beginning when I joined Intuitive Development decades later, as I kept comparing myself to my circle mates. We each had unique intuitive gifts. I had convinced myself that I did not in fact possess any innate intuitive gifts and would therefore have to work extra hard to develop them. I put an extreme amount of pressure on myself.
One day a circle mate turned to me and asked me if I believed that I had an imagination. I answered yes without hesitation. What does having an imagination mean to you, she asked. I explained to her that when I read a book that words became colorful pictures and scenes in my mind. I saw new and different things which makes reading so enjoyable for me. She smiled as she pointed out that not everyone sees in quite that way. Then she informed me that I was clairvoyant. My reality shifted!
What is Clairvoyance?
Clairvoyance refers to clear perception or clear observation. It stands out as a familiar form of intuitive ability, recognized by individuals who may not even claim to embrace anything beyond the physical world. Despite common misconceptions, certain myths persist regarding clairvoyance, including the notion that this gift is restricted to a chosen few. In reality, each individual possesses all the clair senses, whether they are conscious of it or not.
One of the numerous methods through which your spiritual team conveys messages is by sending vibrant visual images through your mental vision, often referred to as the third eye. Your third eye remains hidden from ordinary sight and is located approximately in the middle of the forehead, slightly above the intersection of the eyebrows.
The imagery or moving pictures are projected through your clairvoyant sense, which acts as a projector. This projection originates from your third eye, displaying images for your observation. These visuals might offer glimpses of future events, past occurrences, or current situations. At times, these visuals might seem nonsensical initially, yet they hold significance and could eventually provide answers to prayers or personal inquiries, whether for yourself or others.
While developing your clairvoyance you will learn that there are two ways to see. Subjective clairvoyance refers to seeing in the mind’s eye. Objective clairvoyance refers to seeing outside yourself for example when seeing spirit.
Not everyone will envision spirit as solid three-dimensional human-like figures standing before them as depicted in the movies. The sight of a spirit often arises when one closes their physical eyes to access their third or mind’s eye. Progressing in this ability can eventually eliminate the need to shut one’s physical eyes.
I have experienced seeing spirit over the years, subjectively, in shades of black and white as opposed to in color. We all see uniquely.
Benefits of Developing Clairvoyance
Below are five benefits to developing your clairvoyant abilities.
1. Enhanced Self-Awareness: Developing clairvoyance often involves deep introspection and connecting with your inner self. This heightened awareness can lead to a better understanding of your thoughts, emotions and motivations.
2. Improved Decision-Making: As your clairvoyant abilities develop, you’ll likely become more attuned to subtle energies and intuitive insights. This can help you make more informed decisions in various aspects of life.
3. Heightened Empathy: Clairvoyance can foster empathy by allowing you to perceive emotions and energies beyond the surface. This empathy can strengthen your connections with others and improve your relationships.
4. Stress Reduction: Developing clairvoyance often involves practices such as meditation and mindfulness, which are known to reduce stress and promote relaxation. These techniques can contribute to your overall well-being.
5. Spiritual Growth: Exploring clairvoyant abilities can lead to a deeper understanding of spirituality and your place in the universe. It can encourage a broader perspective on life, purpose, and interconnectedness.
Remember that personal growth is a unique journey, and the benefits of developing clairvoyance may vary for each individual yet can be life changing.
